Service with Integrity

To all Residents of Chelan County,

I am honored and excited to announce my candidacy for Chelan County Clerk.

Born and raised in a small town in Idaho, I moved to Tacoma after high school to pursue my college education. Upon completing my training to become a certified court reporter and passing both State and National licensing exams, I came straight to the beautiful Wenatchee Valley to begin my career—and have proudly called Chelan County home ever since.

For the past 35 years, I have served the Wenatchee Valley and Chelan County as a state and nationally certified court reporter—literally, “The Keeper of the Record.” I have preserved court proceedings as a pro tem court reporter, covering civil and criminal dockets, hearings, and trials across Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Okanogan, and Adams Counties. This work has given me the privilege of collaborating closely with local clerk’s offices, as well as the Washington State Court of Appeals Division I and Division III Clerk’s Offices. I’ve also worked alongside prosecutors, defense attorneys, civil attorneys, judges, and other court staff. The knowledge and perspective I’ve gained from these relationships have been invaluable.

In addition to my judicial work, I have spent the past 31 years as a small business owner. In 1995, I purchased the court reporting firm where I began my career, renaming it Wenatchee Deposition Reporters. Ten years later, I partnered in forming Wenatchee Valley Court Reporting, which I continue to own and manage today.

Running a business for decades has taught me lessons that go beyond the courtroom. I have hired, trained, supervised, and led employees, always focusing on creating a positive work environment to ensure excellent service. I understand what it means when “the buck stops with you,” and I am ready to carry that responsibility with professionalism and integrity for the Chelan County Clerk’s Office.

I am running as an Independent because my allegiance is to the residents of Chelan County, not to any party or church. I am committed to serving everyone fairly and equitably.

Supporting my community has always been central to my life. I frequently volunteered with school activities while raising my two amazing sons, and they continue to be my greatest joy. I also have a deep love for animals and have actively engaged in horse rescues for over ten years. I currently volunteer with ARFS (Animal Rescue Friends of Grant County) and Okandogs here in Chelan County, a cause I will continue to support for as long as I am able. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, friends, and caring for my own pets and horse.

If elected as your Chelan County Clerk, I will dedicate myself wholeheartedly to serving our community with fairness, compassion, efficiency, and integrity. I am committed to leading by example, building trust, and ensuring the Clerk’s Office meets the high standards our community deserves.
